Company

SOLONAX is a geosynthetics manufacturer. We extrude, needle-punch, laminate and test the barrier, filtration, drainage and reinforcement layers that sit between civil infrastructure and the ground it is built on.

What we make

Six product families out of one plant, so the layers of a lining system are specified, manufactured and delivered as a system rather than assembled from four suppliers with four lead times and four sets of certificates. Flat-die extrusion lines for geomembrane up to 8.00 m wide, needle-punching for nonwovens from 100 to 1 200 g/m², a GCL line, geogrid extrusion and drawing, geonet extrusion and lamination.

How we work

Most of what we ship goes into structures that will be inspected by a regulator, audited by a lender and expected to perform for half a century. That shapes the way we document: test frequencies published rather than described, retained samples archived rather than discarded, and a certificate of analysis that matches the roll number printed on the sheet.

Where we work

From Ankara to more than forty countries — mining in West Africa and the Andes, water infrastructure across the Middle East and Central Asia, waste containment in the Balkans and the EU, and aquaculture around the Gulf. Technical support travels with the material: a specification review before tender, a CQA plan before mobilisation, and a site visit at the start of lining works.

Sustainability

A geosynthetic solution usually replaces a mineral one. A GCL replaces a metre of imported clay; a drainage geocomposite replaces 300 mm of quarried aggregate; a geogrid takes a third off a base course. The carbon saving is mostly avoided haulage, and it is the number worth publishing. Production scrap is reground and returned to non-critical extrusion; cores and packaging are recovered.

Specification review

Before tender. We read the drawings, check the declared properties against the duty, and flag what will not be buildable.

Design support

Interface shear testing, veneer stability, transmissivity at project gradient, filter compatibility and reinforcement layout.

Manufacture

Produced to the reviewed specification, tested to the published MQC frequency, released with a certificate of analysis per lot.

Delivery

Roll schedule matched to the panel layout, so the sheet arriving on a truck is the sheet the installer planned to deploy.

Site support

Welding parameters, trial weld witness, CQA plan and destructive test interpretation during the lining works.

Handover

As-built panel layout, seam log, test records and retained samples archived against the roll numbers on site.
